High-Speed Crash in Bed-Stuy Claims Life of Pedestrian, NYPD Reports

A pedestrian was killed in a car crash in Bed-Stuy on Tuesday afternoon, New York City Police Department officials confirmed.

A pedestrian was killed in a car crash in Bedord Stuyvesant on Tuesday, New York City Police Department officials confirmed. The crash happened near 724 Myrtle Ave., between Walworth Street and Sandford Street just before 2:00pm, NYPD officials said. According to a preliminary investigation, police said a 37-year-old man was driving eastbound on Myrtle Avenue at a high speed when he crashed into a pedestrian. This sent the pedestrian, a 37-year-old man, right into an 18-wheeler truck, officials said.
