The NYPD Emergency Service Unit and Bomb Squad responded to a building at 867 53rd St just after 7 am. Dozens of residents were evacuated from their homes, police say and a notice from Notify NYC warned people to avoid the area near 53rd Street and 9th Avenue. More on this from Pix 11.
