Gowanus Supportive Housing Stabbing Sparks Safety Concerns

A police source says a fight broke out between two residents before the 32-year-old man was stabbed in the face, neck and chest.

A man is recovering after a stabbing late Tuesday night inside a supportive housing building in Gowanus — and now some residents say they’re afraid to keep living there. Investigators say it happened just before 11:35 p.m. inside the building on Sackett Street. A police source says a fight broke out between two residents before the 32-year-old man was stabbed in the face, neck and chest. He was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and is expected to be OK. More on this from News 12 Brooklyn.
