Firefighters Recover Man's Body in Burned Car in Brooklyn

The cause of death is under investigation.

Firefighters extinguishing a car fire in Brooklyn on Monday later discovered a man’s body in the driver’s seat, according to the police. Witnesses heard an explosion on Marginal Street near Bushwick Ave. in Cypress Hills around 7:25 p.m., cop sources said. When they ran outside, a car in a driveway was engulfed in flames and they called 911. Firefighters responding to the scene put out the fire and spotted the 59-year-old man. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene. Click here to read more on nydailynews.com.
