A 56-year-old woman is in the hospital after the elevator she was in disconnected from the cables and fell multiple stories. The incident occurred in her East Flatbush apartment building, located at 305 Linden Ave. The FDNY says the woman suffered injuries to her leg and ankle after that elevator dropped unexpectedly. A notice from the city now sits in front of the entrance to that elevator, alerting residents of a safety violation.
