Police sources say a man is dead after stealing a car and crashing in Flatlands early Monday morning. The crash happened around 1:45am at Flatbush Avenue and Avenue J. Officers arrived to find an overturned Honda Civic with TLC plates and a man lying in the street. EMS rushed him to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Video shows debris scattered across the large intersection. The biggest piece of the car landed in the triangle median, while other parts flew all the way toward a nearby gas station.
