A Downtown Brooklyn man will spend 13 years in prison for carrying out a series of gunpoint robberies across Brooklyn over the course of four days in 2024. Prosecutors say 34-year-old Jaquan Smith-Mack pleaded guilty in June to robbery. He was ultimately caught after police spotted him riding a stolen moped without a helmet.Officials say the robbery spree began on Sept. 27, 2024, when Smith-Mack approached a man near Navy Street and Park Avenue, showed the victim a gun in his waistband and told him to "run your pockets."
