Three People Injured, Hospitalized After Canarsie House Fire

The three occupants are expected to recover.

Firefighters rescued three people who were trapped in a heavyily cluttered residence during a Brooklyn fire. FDNY units responded to a fire at 654 East 79th St. in Canarsie just after 11:15 a.m. on February 5. Upon their arrival firefighters found fire blowing out the front door on the first floor. FDNY personnel used two hose lines to knock down the main body of fire and during the overhaul, members pulled down the ceiling of the second floor. The injured residents are listed in stable condition at Brookdale Hospital and Kings County Hospital. Click here to read more on amny.com.
