In the wake of deadly shootings in Brooklyn, Assembly Member Brian Cunningham and local anti-violence advocates gathered on Sunday to call for passage of the “Community Violence Intervention and Prevention Act.” Troy Gill, 13, was fatally shot last month while walking home from a Brooklyn Nets game – an incident that has sparked outrage in the Crown Heights community and beyond.
