Brooklyn Teen Called His Mother After Enduring Four Gunshots: Police

The teenager could not speak when a passerby and police found his body a few blocks from his home.

A 13-year-old boy who was shot to death on his way home from a Nets game last week FaceTimed his mother after he took four bullets to the body, authorities said Tuesday. Troy Gill was gunned down after eight shots rang out near New York Avenue and Bergen Street outside Berger Park in Crown Heights at around 10:30 pm Thursday, according to NYPD Chief of Citywide Investigations Jerry O’Sullivan. The teen was struck in the chest, back, and twice in the arm before he called his mom as he was running down the block, police said.
