Brooklyn Moving Company Workers Guilty in $3 Million Scam to Overcharge Customers

The workers demanded the illegal fees from customers in exchange for their belongings.

Two workers at a shady Brooklyn moving company have been found guilty of holding their customers’ belongings hostage unless they paid thousands of dollars more in last-minute, illegal fees. A Brooklyn Federal Court jury needed less than a day Monday to convict Kristy Mak, 34, and Andre Prince, 45, of wire fraud conspiracy after they were put on trial for helping scam more than 800 customers out of a total $3 million.
