Man Arrested For Attempted Bank Robbery in Flatbush

A Staten Island man fled empty handed on foot.

A Staten Island man with a long criminal record was arrested after he tried to rob a Flatbush bank earlier this month, the NYPD announced on Tuesday. Cops cuffed 34-year-old Junior Bishop on January 26, police said, two weeks after the robbery attempt. Bishop faces attempted robbery and aggravated harassment charges. According to the police, Bishop walked into a Citizens Bank at 1545 Flatbush Ave. on January 12, wearing a baseball cap and face mask and slid a note demanding cash to a teller.
