Brooklyn Driver Charged in Fatal Hit-and-Run That Killed Pregnant Woman

A Brooklyn woman is facing multiple charges, including murder and manslaughter, after allegedly striking and killing a pregnant pedestrian in a hit-and-run last month, police said.

A driver is accused of killing a pregnant woman in a hit-and-run in Brooklyn last month, police said. Chaquasia Pigford, 28, was arrested Wednesday and charged with murder, manslaughter, leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving and other charges, according to the NYPD. Pigford was driving a Chevy Trax when she allegedly hit and dragged Tiffany Cifuni, 32, near Van Buren Street and Marcus Garvey Boulevard in Bedford-Stuyvesant at around 11:55pm. on May 24, police said.
