Fire marshals are investigating multiple Brooklyn fires that broke out over the weekend, including back-to-back blazes in Bedford-Stuyvesant on Saturday. Firefighters first responded just after 12:45 p.m. to an apartment fire at 210 Stuyvesant Ave. near Gates Avenue in Bed-Stuy. Units from the 57th Battalion arrived to find fire in an apartment and quickly deployed two hoselines to bring the main body of the fire under control. Searches of the building did not find anyone inside. More on this from the Brooklyn Paper.
