At least seven New Yorkers, including a 2-year-old boy, were killed as record rains from the remnants of Tropical Storm Ida pounded the city, sparking "catastrophic" flooding, officials said Thursday.

The victims were all in basement apartments when they found themselves trapped by rising flood waters between 10 and 11:30 p.m. Wednesday night.

The youngest victim was a 2-year-old boy found with his parents inside a 64th St. home in Queens. The oldest was a 66-year-old man found dead in his basement apartment on Ridgewood Ave. in East New York, Brooklyn, cops said.
