3 Firefighters Hurt in Fire at Restaurant in Flatbush; Lithium-ion Batteries Removed

Hazmat crews responded to a Flatbush restaurant fire after lithium-ion batteries were found following a blaze that injured three firefighters, FDNY said.

Hazmat crews had to be called to the scene of a restaurant fire in Flatbush, Brooklyn on Wednesday to remove lithium-ion batteries from the premises. Three firefighters suffered minor injuries while battling the fire that broke out at Nice Chinatown restaurant on Foster Avenue around 5:45pm, according to FDNY officials.Citizen App video from the back of the restaurant shows firefighters responding.
