16-Year-Old Arrested for Fatal Shooting of Artist in Fort Greene

Police say Davis was found with gunshot wounds outside the NYCHA complex at 75 Cumberland Walk at around 10:00am on April 12.

A 16-year-old boy is in custody following the fatal shooting of 43-year-old Jamel Davis outside of his apartment in Fort Greene. Police say Davis was found with gunshot wounds outside the NYCHA complex at 75 Cumberland Walk at around 10:00am on April 12. Davis was taken to Methodist Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The 16-year-old is facing charges for murder and criminal possession of a loaded firearm.
