A child tripped and fell onto the L train tracks in Williamsburg Tuesday morning, but only had minor injuries, according to the NYPD. The 12-year-old tumbled off the northbound platform at the Metropolitan Avenue-Lorimer Street station about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, police said. He was rushed to an area hospital with minor injuries, and there was no criminality suspected, police said. L trains were completely halted in both directions following the fall and restarted after 9 a.m., transit authorities said.
