Kids, have your baskets ready - there will be plenty of eggs to hunt!

It's going to be "eggs-travagant!" New York City Council Majority Leader Laurie A. Cumbo and New York State Assembly Member Walter T. Mosley, in partnership with local community organizations, are hosting the second annual Easter Egg Hunt in Fort Greene Park on Saturday, March 31.
"There is no greater way to celebrate the start of the spring season than with an Easter egg hunt amongst family," said Councilmember Laurie A. Cumbo. "As a new mom, I am proud to bring this tradition back to the 35th Council District as I look forward to sharing this special occasion with my son. With great community partners such as the Myrtle Avenue BID and Fort Greene Park Conservancy, this eggs-travaganza will be a memorable one."

Central Brooklyn kids are welcome to join in the Easter fun which includes storytime, arts and crafts, face painting, performances by Lotus Creations and featuring a very special guest, the Easter Bunny. And, of course, the kids should have their baskets ready because there will be plenty of eggs to hunt!
Community organization such as the Myrtle Avenue Partnership, Brooklyn Public Library, Ingersoll-University Settlement, the Department of Youth and Community Development, Brooklyn Academy of Music and YMCA Youth organizations will also be on-site to provide information on family-friendly programs and resources.
Hop, hop, Brooklynites!
