At the one-year anniversary of the formation of its Senior Advisory Council (SAC), the Myrtle Avenue Revitalization Project will hold the first annual Fort Greene/Clinton Hill Senior Resource Fair on Wednesday, March 23.
The FREE event will feature 30 vendors representing a variety of city agencies and citywide services provider sharing information that will focus on senior resources and programs, from physical fitness and estate planning to writing classes and transportation services.
"We want to serve as a model for other BIDs looking to better engage their older adult neighbors," said Meredith Phillips Almeida, executive director of MARP. "We have a responsibility to keep the needs of local seniors on our radar, in order to best serve the whole community. We hope this resource fair will be the launch point for more programs and events for local seniors."
