Citi Bike will be free to all in New York City on August 2, the company announced on Monday.
Skip the subway. Give Uber a break. And treat yourself to scenic ride through the city with a free Citi Bike day-pass. If you've never tried a Citi Bike before, now is the perfect time.

New Yorkers and visitors who want to take advantage of the free ride day can sign up online or through the Citi Bike mobile app (will go live the day-of), where they will receive a free code to use at any dock in the service area for a half-hour increments. Riders near Bowling Green Plaza on August 2 can stop by the noosa Breakfast Bar event on the plaza, from 8:00am-5:00pm.
The app will expire at 11:59pm on August 2.
