Afropunk is returning to Brooklyn this summer, according to an announcement on Tuesday by the organizers on its website and social media platforms.

After a three-year hiatus due to COVID protocols, the world's premier punk fest will be making a celebratory return the weekend of September 10-11, 2022, at Commodore Barry Park in Brooklyn, with a robust lineup that without a doubt picks up where it last left off:
So far, some of the key performers include:
The Roots
Burna Boy
Lucky Daye
Tierra Whack
Freddie Gibbs
Adekunle Gold and more!
Other performers include Isaiah Rashad, Fana Hues, Pink Siifu, Butcher Brown, Mick Jenkins and others.
The festival is divided into two stages: the “Brooklyn Baby” stage and the “No Sleep Till Brooklyn” stage.

As always, AFROPUNK will offer an array of unique activations, including the Spinthrift Market, a shop market full of talented makers, selectors and curators from the New York area, and AFROPUNK’s Bites ‘n Beats, which provides event goers an opportunity to indulge in cuisines from NYC chefs and local food trucks.
Attendees also have the chance to experience a live mural, early morning Yoga sessions, art galleries, and film screenings.
