The Department of Transportation (DOT) plans, weather permitting, to mill (remove the top layer of asphalt) the following streets as indicated, September 19-23:
Greene Avenue, between Fulton Street and Grand Avenue
Monday and Tuesday, September 19 and 20
Clifton Place, between Classon Avenue and St. James Place
Tuesday-Thursday, September 20-22
Putnam Avenue, between Downing Street and Classon Avenue
Thursday, September 22
Gates Avenue, between Fulton Street and Classon Avenue
Thursday and Friday, September 22 and 23
Vehicles left on the street when work is ready to be performed will be relocated, generally within three blocks. DOT encourages owners of relocated vehicles to first walk around the neighborhood. If owners are not able to locate their vehicle, they may telephone (718) 222-7285 to learn the towing location.
Streets are generally repaved one or two weeks after they are milled.
