Winter Market Featuring Black-Owned Brands Coming to Bed-Stuy

The month-long marketplace event features over 20 businesses to shop from, along with live music, DJ sets, workshops and more.

With the holiday season approaching, local boutique Make Manifest BK is gearing up to celebrate its sixth anniversary of spotlighting emerging Black-owned brands with its upcoming event, Black Girl Magic Street: Winter Artisan Market.

Taking place at Tompkins Avenue in Bed-Stuy, the Winter Artisan Market will feature a curated line-up of Black-owned businesses that offer a wide array of artisanal goods.

More than 20 brands in total will share the space over the course of five weekends between Black Friday and Christmas Eve, which Make Manifest BK says will give the businesses the opportunity to connect with new customers and tap into the fruitful holiday shopping season.

In addition to the shops, the marketplace event — which will be transformed into a “winter village” for the duration of the month-long festivities — also has a number of interactive experiences planned.

Among the fun-filled activities visitors can check out include live music, DJ sets, workshops, festive photo opportunities, various art, gift-wrapping stations and more.

The Winter Artisan Market is slated to kick off on Dec. 2, following Make Manifest BK’s other shop-centric events, Black Friday Night Market (Nov. 24) and Small Biz Saturday Marketplace (Nov. 25).
