Brooklyn’s Kings Plaza is celebrating 55 years as the borough’s premier shopping destination with a major wave of growth.
The Mill Basin mall is welcoming six new retailers, Urban Planet, Coach, Applebee’s, PacSun, Little Tokyo and Miniso, adding fresh energy to its lineup of fashion, dining, plus lifestyle options.
The new arrivals highlight Kings Plaza’s continued ability to meet the evolving tastes of Brooklyn shoppers, from Gen Z trendsetters to families looking for global flavors and immersive experiences.
“Kings Plaza continues to attract top brands that recognize the strength of this market and the unique value of being part of Brooklyn’s only enclosed super-regional shopping center,” said Richard Madramuthu, vice president of leasing at Macerich, which owns the property.
Several of the openings mark firsts for the borough: Urban Planet x Charlotte Russe debuted its first New York location at Kings Plaza in August, while Miniso and Little Tokyo will open their first Brooklyn stores later this year.
Looking ahead to 2026, Coach and PacSun will also join the mix with their first Brooklyn locations.
Since joining the Macerich portfolio in 2012, Kings Plaza has undergone several upgrades, with another redevelopment planned for 2026. As Brooklyn’s only enclosed super-regional shopping center, the mall continues to serve as a community hub, welcoming about 40,000 NYC bus passengers every weekday and connecting residents across ten major MTA routes.
