New York City Council Member Justin Brannan announced that he is partnering with Allied Properties, a local real estate firm, to bring two new kid-friendly businesses to Bay Ridge.

The first business to open sometime in the future is School of Rock, a world-renowned music school that provides a variety of lessons and workshops to children of all ages, skill levels and musical aspirations.

The rock and roll educational institute plans to move into the fully-renovated 3,000 square foot corner space located at 6901 Third Ave. — which was the former longtime home of Circles Cafe.

Along with School of Rock, Launch Trampoline Park will also be springing into the area to provide fun for aspiring bouncers.

Launch Trampoline Park is an affordable family entertainment center that offers a variety of activities including dodgeball, basketball, a rock climbing wall, an arcade and — of course — plenty of trampolines to jump on!

The trampoline park will be taking over the currently vacant 22,000 square foot space at 531 86th St., which was previously occupied by Modell's Sporting Goods.

According to Brannan, the decision to add these types of businesses to the area was a direct response to numerous Bay Ridge parents that have inquired about having more things for their children to do in the neighborhood.

"Since being elected I've brought back hundreds of millions of dollars to our community through investments in new schools, parks, and playgrounds in order to ensure Bay Ridge remains a great place to live, work, and raise family. Part of that promise is doing our best to attract the types of businesses local families are asking for," said Brannan.

"I'm excited to welcome two great new businesses to our neighborhood and I thank Allied Properties for their partnership and caring about our community. There's more to come!"
