FRIDAY

BAM, 30 LAFAYETTE AVENUE, FORT GREENE
If you've never been to a #ThatsMyCole performance, this will be a great place to get graced by Cole Williams and her magical mix of Rock + R & B. Sultry, gamine and very fun are apt descriptions, but still do a disservice to the situation happening at BAM this Friday. It's free to do it, so do it! Hit the event page here

LITTLEFIELD, 622 DEGRAW, GOWANUS
J DILLA was your favorite producers, favorite producer. He passed in 2006, but his impact on the creative vibe and soul of Hip-Hop is more alive than ever. This is a tribute party, which happens each year, in multiple cities, around his birthday. This is how Brooklyn celebrates it. Special performances all night, with the Pitchblak Brass Band headlining. 10 Bucks for a night of awesome!
SATURDAY
It's a bunch of things on Saturday. You have a fielders choice!

BROOKLYN MUSEUM, 200 EASTERN PARKWAY
Bunch of stuff at this monthly Saturday institution, within this impressive institution on Eastern Parkway. It's a world class museum, so besides the short documentaries, Jazz band and closing performance by Bilal, amongst a bunch of other activities, be sure to walk the exhibitions. BROOKLYN NIGHT BIZARRE, 165 BANKER STREET, GREENPOINT
Chop & Quench is the personification of Fela, in modern day Brooklyn. I still remember when Fela passed away. I was coming out of Tramps, a live music venue, that is now shuttered, and a random person ran up to me on 21st street in Manhattan and told me that Fela just died. I was in shock. His music and energy is channeled by Sahr and crew, who do it like they're doing it just for you. Hell of a show.

LEWIS AVENUE, BTWN HALSEY & MACDONOUGH, BED-STUY
One night, one street, 3 parties with the Tap & Cork Crew. Starts at 9pm. Treat it like Bourbon Street, just don't bring your drank in
PEACHES BAR
BESO RESTAURANT
THERAPY WINE BAR

BIJAN, 81 HOYT STREET, DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN
SheRock is rocking it downtown. Expect a sexy dress on an adventurous DJ, surrounded by her lovely ladies. She's bringing life to Hoyt Street and she's starting at 11pm. Get in there!

NICHOLAS BROOKLYN, 570 FULTON STREET, FORT GREENE
This is an event worthy of your attendance, especially if you have natural hair...and especially if you want to help them open a safe space for the Natural Hair Movement to be resplendent in all it's glory. It's a fundraiser, so check out the event page for more details
SUNDAY

CUMBE, 558 GULTON STREET, 2ND FL, FORT GREENE
This will be one sexy workout! Let Yaminah Legohn teach you all the Dancehall moves you've been dying to bust out on the floor. She'll make you the star of the next bashment!
