Theater for the New City’s 2025 Street Theater tour is coming to Brooklyn with three performances of Home Sweet Home, or a Life in New York, a fast-paced original musical that explores identity, immigration and resilience through satire, slapstick and live music.
Brooklyn audiences can catch the free outdoor production at the Coney Island Boardwalk, Sunset Park and Fort Greene Park. Each performance runs 75 minutes and is open to all ages.
The show follows a young orphan born in the U.S. who works in a local bodega and embarks on a journey to uncover his roots after his immigrant friends face the threat of deportation.
