A Nor'easter may delay but not stop the show, and certainly not Fort Greene's Annual Great PUPkin Costume Contest which took place one day late on Sunday.
Hundreds gathered on the steps of the Fort Greene Monument to watch good doggies and their owners parade in their best Halloween getups. Now in its 20th year, the competition organized by Fort Greene PUPS, a nonprofit made up of Fort Greene dog owners, welcomed more than 100 furry contestants.
With so many adorable and treat-worthy pups, the jury had quite a tough job to pick a winner. But thanks to the help of the cheering and roaring crowd, a decision was made: Golden doodle Kody, a not very grouchy "Oscar, the Grouch" who sat patiently in trash can full of old newspapers, was the well-deserving winner.
