PHOTOS: A Dazzling Mr. Eazi Had Crowd Unwinding, Moving to the Beat at Prospect Park Show

Friday night's BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn show included DJ Bembona, AJO and headliner Mr. Eazi

Brooklyn's Prospect Park was full festival vibes on Friday night with a rare and energetic performance from Afrobeats superstar Mr. Eazi.

Mr. Eazi dazzled the crowd in a full black sequin suit, shimmering throughout the renditions of some his biggest hits including Sekkle & Bop, Dabebi, Sample You, Hollup and Jealous, while the crowd sang and danced along.

Oluwatosin Ajibade, better known by his stage name Mr Eazi, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter, and one of the pioneers of Banku music, which he describes as a mixture of Ghanaian highlife and Nigerian chord progressions and patterns.

He took to the stage at Prospect Park's Lena Horne band shell on Friday night as part of BRIC's free summer-long concert series, Celebrate Brooklyn.

Opening for the star was artist and activist DJ Bembona, who, on top of sharing tracks to get the crowd smiling and moving their bodies, made a point to share and celebrate being together and alive sharing in the moment.

The Brooklyn-born and raised DJ's set included a mixture of Afrobeats, soca and salsa music, and was accompanied by two dancers who got the crowd going and were even joined by the DJ in front of her decks.

Up next, was New York-based rapper and singer AJO, who performed her songs Sugar, Hot Wing, and Doing Too Much. On top of her stellar vocals that had the crowd paying attention, AJO showed her skills on the acoustic guitar, performing and played her song Cruisin' Music and showing she is definitely a performer to watch.
