After two nearly sold out performances, BrooklynONE Productions is set to resume their 2022 Brooklyn Shakespeare Festival on July 20th and July 27th, reports Broadway World.

"The shows have been going amazingly, even with a little rain on our opening night we had a great crowd," stated Anthony Marino, Founder and Artistic Director of bkONE. "Industry City continues to be the absolute perfect backdrop for NYC's proud outdoor Shakespeare tradition."

BrooklynONE Productions started the Shakespeare Festival in 2013 as a way to bring the tradition of outdoor Shakespeare to areas of South Brooklyn. Previously held in Brooklyn's Owls Head Park, the recent move to Industry City allows the festival to benefit from new production advantages, as well as offering their audience a wider range of food and retail options.

"Industry City's open-air courtyards have been a haven for New Yorkers to shop and eat locally while enjoying the outdoors," said Jim Somoza, Managing Director and Partner at Industry City. "We are excited to bring people back for the Brooklyn Shakespeare Festival, giving them the opportunity to experience incredible performances of one of the most famous plays in history."

Showings of Romeo and Juliet will continue throughout the summer and all shows are set to be on at The Bandshell in Courtyard 1/2. The show is set to continue on July 20th and tickets can be purchased in advance of the performances at www.bkone.org or on the day of the event.
