The Brooklyn Museum on Monday announced a call to musicians and producers of all genres-- from classical to calypso, brass band to bossa nova-- to create an original score to accompany the Jane and David Walentas Fountain in front of the Museum.
A popular area where visitors, children and the local community gather, the Jane and David Walentas fountain runs every day from 8:00am- 6:00pm and from 8:00am - 10:00pm on Thursdays.
Participants may email submissions (via soundcloud or yousendit) to: firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line "Score the Fountain."
Submissions are due July 30.
The general public is then invited to come together on Thursday, August 14 at 6:30 p.m. to hear the final compositions in front of the fountain. This event is free. For more information, view the site's calendar here.
