NYC Media, the official broadcast network for the City of New York, and Next Millennium Productions have debuted a brand new TV series, The NYC Field Guide: How to Thrive in the Five, hosted by Emmy-award winner Micaéla Birmingham.
The 13-episode series features 30-minute episodes offering unique tips and expert information from celebrities, New Yorkers and NYC officials for how to live, work and play in the five boroughs.
The first episode "Walking" reviews umbrella etiquette and Birmingham chats with Department of Transportation officials on design features for safer streets. Episode two, "Dining," decodes restaurant letter grades and comedian Roy Wood Jr. shares his tips for dining out in NYC.
July episodes include "Riding the Subway," "Outdoors," "Driving," and "Kids." Each episode airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. with encore presentations on Mondays at 10:30 p.m. on the NYC Life Channel 25.
The first two episodes, "Walking" and "Dining," are both available to watch on NYC.gov.
