NYC Adds More World Cup Watch Party Locations

The Brooklyn Borough President and the city Department of Transportation are hosting watch party events in Cypress Hills, Brownsville and Kensington.

City officials have added more World Cup watch party locations as excitement builds during the tournament's third week.

Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso's Brooklyn Mundial series continues in Cypress Hills on Thursday.

Cypress Hills

When: June 25, Doors 6:00pm

Where: Mr. Fire Bar & Grill, 3175 Fulton St.

What: Japan vs. Sweden (7:00pm) and Turkey vs. USA (10:00pm)

This concert-style experience will feature live match screenings, performances, halftime entertainment, and light food and drinks.

Performances by DJ Toshi, Rah Digga, MC Joha, Rockness Monsta, and more.

The city Department of Transportation on Wednesday activated two additional Brooklyn watch party locations. 

Brownsville 

When: June 26, 2:00pm

Where: Osborn Plaza (Osborn Street from Belmont Avenue to the dead end)

What: Live performance by Fogo Azul at 2:00pm, followed by the Norway vs. France match at 3:00pm.

Programming provided by Hive Public Space, The Horticultural Society of New York and more. Attendees can also join a guided bike ride with Black Girls Do Bike, departing from and returning to Osborn Plaza before kickoff. Register in advance here.

Kensington 

When: July 7, 3:00pm

Where: Kensington Plaza (Beverley Road from Church Avenue to E. 2nd Street)

What: Live performance by ADVANCE/MORE Opera at 3:00pm, followed by the W85 vs. W87 match at 4:00pm. Programming provided by Hive Public Space, The Horticultural Society of New York and more.

The Brooklyn Fan Zone will be at Brooklyn Bridge Park from June 13 to July 19, with daily programming and match viewings.
