Luna Park in Coney Island launched its first Summer Happy Hour, offering lower-priced rides and dining during weekday evenings through mid-August. The initiative gives residents and visitors an affordable way to experience one of Brooklyn's signature summer attractions.
The Summer Happy Hour is available Mondays through Wednesdays from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Parkgoers can save 25% on the Luna Boardwalk Pass, which includes unlimited rides and one admission each to Electric Eden Raceway, Sling Shot and the B&B Carousell. Height restrictions and accompanying adult requirements apply on select attractions.
Pass holders can also receive 15% off food purchases at Fly Wheel, Salt & Sizzle, Urban Legend and Al Cavallino. The offer excludes beer, wine and other beverages.
The new initiative coincides with a milestone season for the Cyclone, which is celebrating its 99th anniversary. The historic wooden roller coaster has long been a symbol of Coney Island and remains one of Brooklyn's best-known attractions. Introducing weekday savings gives more people an opportunity to enjoy the amusement park before the Cyclone marks its centennial next year.
The combination of unlimited rides and reduced prices at several dining locations distinguishes the Summer Happy Hour from traditional seasonal offers. The weekday schedule also encourages visitors to experience the boardwalk during the evening, when cooler temperatures and sunset views draw crowds to the waterfront.
Summer Happy Hour continues through Aug. 12, giving Brooklyn residents and visitors several weeks to take advantage of the evening savings while enjoying one of the borough's iconic summer destinations.
