The city will release 100,000 free tickets for New Yorkers to watch the Macy’s Fourth of July Fireworks from prime viewing areas at Brooklyn Bridge Park in Brooklyn and the Seaport in Manhattan.

The public lottery at july4.events.nyc is open now and will remain open through June 29 at 11:59pm. Winners will be notified between June 30 and July 2 and may claim up to four tickets.

Selected lottery winners will receive an email with instructions to claim their tickets and choose a preferred viewing area. Winners may claim up to four tickets. Children younger than 2 do not require a ticket.

In addition to the ticketed viewing areas at Brooklyn Bridge Park and the Seaport, non-ticketed public viewing areas will be available along the FDR Drive in Manhattan.

“On the Fourth of July, Americans come together to look at where we’ve come as a nation, and where we want to go together in the future. Hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers will gather along our waterfront to celebrate, and we’re making sure that some of the best views are available for free,” said Mamdani.

More information about those viewing locations will be released at july4.events.nyc soon.
