Fans of Wicked, The Wizard of Oz and The Wiz are invited to a holiday skate celebration that transforms Xanadu Roller Arts into the Land of Oz. Vinyl Nights presents Rolling to Emerald City: Wicked Skate Night with Impala Skate, bringing an immersive Oz-themed experience complete with classic NYC roller skating vibes and a throwback soundtrack from the 1970s, ’80s and ’90s.
Skaters can channel Glinda, Elphaba, Dorothy or any character from the Oz universe, with costumes highly encouraged. The night features Impala Skate’s Emerald and Pink skate collection, a Unicorn Snot glitter makeup station and a Wicked Costume Contest. Two winners will receive a prize pack that includes a pair of Impala Emerald or Pink skates.
"This event will be a magical holiday tribute to the wonderful world of the Wizard of Oz with fantastic costumes, superb DJ's, and classic NYC roller skating vibes," said Rebecca Lynn, the event's organizer.
Expect festive Oz-inspired décor, standout outfits, skilled DJs and a magical holiday tribute to one of pop culture’s most beloved worlds.
