Starting Wednesday, Nov. 8, visit one of New York City’s prime outdoor holiday destinations! DUMBO will transform into a neighborhood-wide site of festive activities including the Glide ice skating rink below the Brooklyn Bridge, a life-size gingerbread house at Empire Stores and holiday market shopping.

"Fifth Avenue and Midtown will always be holiday classics – but if you want the magic and romance of the season in its full Brooklyn glory, head to Dumbo!” says Alexandria Sica, President of the DUMBO Improvement District.

A new ice skating rink, Glide at Brooklyn Bridge Park, will be located at the Emily Warren Roebling Plaza and open to the public beginning November 15 through March 1. The ice rink will showcase spectacular views of the Manhattan skyline and be positioned alongside the iconic Brooklyn Bridge.

Beginning on November 15th, Empire Stores will also be the site of ‘Winter by Empire’ Holiday Shops, featuring a variety of offerings for the whole family. Visitors can experience the ambience of a rustic ski lodge while being immersed in enchanting decor, delightful dining and unique shopping experiences, including a luxury, life-size gingerbread house and snow globe.

DUMBO is also the site of three festive holiday markets this season, the Brooklyn Flea in the Dumbo Archway, the Fad Market in Empire Stores and the Dumbo Loft Market in the Dumbo Loft.

Gigantic animated holiday projections will takeover the BQE and Manhattan Bridge Anchorages beginning Wednesday, November 8 through December 31 in four locations throughout Dumbo: Manhattan Bridge Anchorage on both the Pearl Street and Adams Street sides, BQE via Susan Smith McKinney Steward Park and on several buildings at the intersection of Front and Jay Streets.

Lastly, take part in the 17th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting in the Pearl Street Triangle, across from Dumbo Archway) on Thursday, December 7, 2023.
