From painting to performance, sculpture to street art, don’t miss the chance to step inside the studios and connect with artists during Gowanus Open Studios between Oct. 18 and 19.

Hosted by Arts Gowanus for the past 29 years, Gowanus Open Studios is Brooklyn’s biggest celebration of local art and artists. Hundreds of artists across dozens of venues in the greater Gowanus neighborhood will open their doors, giving the public a rare glimpse inside the former factories, warehouses and studio buildings. Artists will be on hand to discuss their work, share their processes and showcase their latest projects.

“In addition to open studios visitors getting to experience the incredible talent our creative community has to offer, this year we are thrilled to open the first group of subsidized studios in two new neighborhood developments, which we negotiated as part of the Gowanus Rezoning," said Arts Gowanus Executive Director Johnny Thornton. "These artist studios represent years of work and advocacy, and we couldn’t be more excited to offer long-term affordability for so many working artists in our community.”
