Brooklyn-based fashion designers have an opportunity to showcase their work as applications open for A Very Brooklyn Fashion Show 2026.
Presented by Brooklyn Made in partnership with Fashion Week Brooklyn and the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, the event will take place at Industry City in Brooklyn on Oct. 8, 2026.
Organizers are seeking emerging designers from across the borough to present original collections during the professionally produced runway show.
Applications are open through Aug. 14 at 11:59pm, with selected designers expected to be notified during the week of Aug. 17. An orientation is planned for the week of Aug. 24, with the date to be announced and all runway collections must be completed by Sept. 10.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, based in Brooklyn, available for required planning meetings and the fashion show and submit original designs. Fashion designs created using artificial intelligence are not eligible.
The fashion show is designed to highlight Brooklyn's growing community of emerging designers while creating opportunities to increase visibility and connect with audiences across the borough. The event also celebrates Brooklyn's creative economy by providing a platform for local talent to present original work in a professional setting.
Selected designers will participate in a full-scale runway production featuring professional models, hair and makeup, runway lighting, music, photography, videography, backstage production support and event promotion.
Although participants are responsible for creating and transporting their collections, the event offers an opportunity to build brand awareness and connect with members of Brooklyn's fashion, business and creative communities.
Designers interested in participating must submit an application by Aug. 14 at 11:59pm.
Required materials include contact information, a designer biography, a description of the brand and collection, images or sketches of proposed runway looks, links to a website, portfolio or social media accounts and confirmation of availability for all required dates.
Submitting an application does not guarantee selection.
