On Aug. 19, in celebration of World Photo Day, join art dealer and gallery owner Richard Beavers at the first-ever Annual Bed-Stuy Family Photo Day.
The Richard Beavers Gallery will become a portrait studio for the day and will give Bed-Stuy families a chance to capture their essence with the help of six professional artists and photographers. Fifty families will be photographed and given a professional-quality photo.
Participating photographers include Danielle Alston, Ian Reid, Kay Hickman, Megan Schmidt, Vanessa Clifton and Brittsense.
The day will be a family celebration with refreshments, music, games and workshops. There will also be a photo booth to capture instant keepsakes.

The Richard Beavers Gallery will be capturing family photographs on the road in 2024 in key cities across the United States. These will include dates in Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, Houston and Los Angeles. Each event will feature local photographers, culminating in an exhibit at Art Basel Miami in December 2024.
