Of 6844 players in the contest, Ylon finished 4th place, an impressive feat that amassed him $3.77 million. His playing style was a perfect blend of tactics combined with aggression, leaving an indelible mark in the poker community. 

Before entering the poker scene, he was a chess professional and collected the title of International Master. He also participated in several online poker tournaments using the alias "TenthPlanet." Ylons reputation was built around participating in high stake events. 

David Singer

The name David Singer must pop up when talking about players hailing from Brooklyn. He was born in New York on December 10, 1964, and had a successful poker and law profession. Among the poker community, he is renowned for his analytical approach, skill, and calm demeanor.

Singer has won several WSOP bracelets, the highest accolade you can receive in poker. The  $5,000 Limit Hold'em event saw him receive his first bracelet in 1997. 2008 he secured his second bracelet after winning the $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. event.

He also participated in other poker events like the Full Tilt Poker Heads Up World Championship and other online tournaments. The poker prodigy has gained over $6 million from his live matches participation, making him a renowned player in the poker scene. 

Erik Seidel

Erik is regarded as one of the most successful poker players globally. He was born on November 6, 1959, in New York City and was an aggressive backgammon player on the professional circuit before he discovered poker. 

His career gained traction in the early 1990s. His play style consisted of skill and calmness with intermittent aggression. His calm composure on the table was his strongest fort, which gained him the nickname Sly Seidel. 

Throughout his career, he has won nine WSOP bracelets making him one of the few players to win that many bracelets in the event's history. Additionally, he has a World Poker Tour (WPT) title to his name. Erik's total live tournament winnings exceed $34 million, making him one of the most successful players worldwide. 

Asher Conniff

The story of Asher is a somewhat surprising one. This man from Brooklyn mistakenly won a few thousand shy of a million dollars in a poker event. In the WPT tournament 2015, Asher selected and qualified for the wrong tournament on Borgata's website.

He played the 2400-person qualifying tournament with a $15,000 buy-in and won. This achievement would mark the beginning of his streak of wins. Over the course o the tournament, he won over $1.4 million. 

Until this fortunate period, his poker career had gotten him an average of  $188,000. He then proceeded to win the Borgata Spring Poker Open amassing $203,231. His career is a tale of luck and skill.
