The affordable housing lottery has opened for the Rheingold Senior Residences, a nine-story residential building at 15 Montieth Street in Bushwick.
The building has 94 residential units, 65 of which are available on NYC Housing Connect for residents at 50% of the area median income (AMI). Income eligibility ranges from $0 to $63,550. At least one member of the household in the application must be at least 62 years of age to qualify, according to Housing Connect website.
There are 26 studios with a monthly rent of $0 for incomes ranging from $0 to $56,500 for beneficiaries who qualify for 50% of the AMI, and 39 one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $0 for incomes ranging from $0 to $63,550.
The units boast energy-efficient appliances and air conditioning, with amenities including a rooftop garden, office space, shared laundry room, lounges, and a community center. Tenants are responsible for their electricity bills. Residents must submit applications before April 15.
