The New York State Department of Transportation on Tuesday advised drivers that there will be a full closure of the Fort Hamilton Parkway Bridge over the Gowanus Expressway (I-278) in Brooklyn, from Wednesday night, June 10, through Saturday morning, June 13, at 10:00pm each night to 5:00am the following morning.
The B16 and B70 bus stops may be re-routed during these closures, the DOT said.
Motorists and cyclists should follow the signed detour to 6th Avenue North to access Fort Hamilton Parkway from Bay Ridge Parkway.
This closure is necessary to facilitate work operations for the DOT project rehabilitating the Fort Hamilton Parkway bridge over the Gowanus Expressway (I-278).
Construction activities are weather-dependent and subject to change based on conditions, the DOT said.
