An F train carrying 32 passengers in Coney Island derailed on Wednesday.

Service on the F subway train was restored Thursday morning after a train derailed in Coney Island on Wednesday, according to the Gothamist.

The incident, the second subway train to derail in the new year, happened near the West 8th Street-New York Aquarium around 12:20 pm, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority said.

The operations of the F and G lines were disrupted and delayed as emergency services assisted 32 passengers, who did not sustain any injuries.

The Gothamist reported that the train, en route to Manhattan, crashed through a wooden barrier as it derailed with one of its cars coming to a rest just a few feet from the edge of the elevated track structure.

NYC Transit President Richard Davey said the train got derailed as it moved slowly through a construction site.

This incident comes less than a week after two 1 trains collided and derailed near the 96th Street station on the Upper West Side.
