The Metropolitan Transportation Authority reopened the Clark Street 2/3 subway station in Brooklyn Heights on Tuesday, following a closure caused by an awning collapse on Sunday.

A 10-feet by 20-feet awning on what was once the Hotel St. George on Clark Street fell onto the street on Sunday, blocking the station exit.

The station closure was ordered by the NYC Department of Buildings on Sunday.

“On behalf of riders, New York City Transit pushed hard for the building’s landlord and the city to rapidly work out a safe way for New Yorkers to access the station below,” New York City Transit President Demetrius Crichlow said in a statement.
