Nonprofits based in New York City can now share their messages through a network of digital screens in trusted community spaces across the city at no cost, thanks to the #LinkToCommunity project. This is through a strategic partnership between F.Y. Eye and New York City’s expansive communications network, LinkNYC. The project will increase F.Y. Eye’s PSA distribution and ensure nonprofits have equitable access to the public square.

F.Y. Eye’s PSA Network was created in order to offer free advertising space for nonprofits. Founded in 2005 the PSA Network utilizes a network of digital screens located in spaces such as health clinics, supportive housing facilities and community centers to build public awareness about various social, civic, and educational resources provided by local nonprofits.

The PSA Network eliminates an issue for those in the nonprofit sector, which is that traditional advertising is prohibitively expensive for many nonprofits.

“The nonprofit sector plays a fundamental role in building a more equitable, compassionate, and inclusive society by addressing social needs, driving social change, and mobilizing resources and support,” said Christina Daigneault, Executive Director of F.Y. Eye. “LinkNYC supercharges our mission to democratize advertising and helps nonprofits bring critical information directly to the people.”

LinkNYC's kiosks offer free Wi-Fi, phone calls, charging stations and access to city services. Over 1,800 digital billboards across the five boroughs will now be utilized by F.Y. Eye’s PSA Network to help amplify nonprofit PSAs. The new #LinktoCommunity partnership between F.Y. Eye and LinkNYC will catapult nonprofit PSA distribution on F.Y. Eye’s PSA Network from a previous reach of 2 million impressions per PSA before the partnership, to over 47,408,658 impressions.

“LinkNYC provides a valuable public service, and our partnership with F.Y. Eye will allow us to expand on our LinkLocal program by providing wider accessibility to the screens for nonprofits,” said Nicole Robinson-Etienne, LinkNYC’s Director of External Affairs.  “A major objective of our mission is to empower and advance community voices through our state-of-the-art telecommunications infrastructure, and we trust F.Y. Eye to help facilitate this effort.”

F.Y.Eye’s PSA Network is open to all mission-based nonprofit organizations with programs or messages relevant to New Yorkers. Simply visit the F.Y. Eye website and fill out the PSA Request Form for immediate consideration.
