Ezri Shor was named as the new head coach of the Baruch College men's volleyball team.

Brooklyn College alum Ezri Shor was named the new head coach of the men’s volleyball team at Baruch College.

Shor, who was initially appointed as the head coach of the Baruch College women's volleyball squad in August, now takes on the role for the entire program.

In the 2022-23 season, Shor served as an assistant coach for both the men's and women's teams at the CUNY college. During that season, the Brooklyn-native helped guide the men’s program to a CUNYAC Championship and a spot in the 2023 NCAA Tournament.

In the same year, the women’s team exceeded expectations, finishing second in the regular season standings (despite being predicted to finish fourth by other coaches) and reaching the 2023 CUNYAC semifinals.

"It is an honor to be the head coach of both volleyball programs here at Baruch,' said Shor. "I am looking to carry on the success the men's program has seen over the years and continue to further strengthen the program."

After graduating from Midwood High School, Shor attended Brooklyn College in 2018, where she played for the educational institution’s women’s volleyball program for three years.

As a member of the Brooklyn College Bulldogs, Shor led the team in 2021 to a CUNYAC title, the program’s first championship in 39 years. Outside of college, Shor played for the Junior USA Volleyball Team in 2017 at the Maccabiah World Games in Israel, where she helped lift the program to a gold medal finish.

"I would like to welcome Ezri to the head coaching ranks, now for the men's team as well, and am happy that she chose to start her collegiate coaching career with us as a Bearcat,” said Heather Mac Culloch, director of Athletics & Recreation at Baruch.
