Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts presents Summer Forum, bringing together teaching artists, educators, and practicing artists to engage, share and imagine the next 50 years of teaching artistry around the world.
Applications are open to participate in the forum, occurring between July 9 and July 12. It will be an opportunity to connect with fellow professionals—both locally and internationally—to learn from the first half century of teaching artistry and dream up the next 50 years, according to a press release.
Lincoln Center is offering current public educators across New York State who are accepted complimentary access to the event.
“Education is integral to all we do at Lincoln Center," said Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts’ Chief Artistic Officer Shanta Thake."We are so proud of our history as the birthplace of teaching artistry and are inspired by the artists and educators who embrace the arts as core to learning of all kinds. We hope teachers, educators and arts specialists of all kinds will join us at Summer Forum."
The forum will take place across Lincoln Center’s sprawling campus as part of Summer for the City, offering a four-day immersion into experiential workshops, performances, expert panels, roundtables and social networking events.
Applicants are asked to submit a resume with artistic, teaching and/or work experience, as well as a brief personal statement addressing what they hope to gain from participating in the training sessions. Interested educators can visit LincolnCenter.org/
Applications are due May 16.
