Comedian and actor Tracy Morgan came back to his childhood neighborhood of Bed-Stuy over the weekend to hand out turkeys to families at the Sumner Houses.
The SNL and 30 Rock alum helped distribute food, which included turkey with all the fixings, to around 500 households in partnership with Food Bank For New York City.

Last year, Morgan also came back to the borough to hand out 1,000 turkeys to families at Bed-Stuy’s Tompkins Houses. Over the past year, he has worked with the Food Bank For New York City and assisted with distributions in across the five boroughs.
Food Bank For New York City has provided more than 1.2 billion meals to New Yorkers in need since it was founded in 1983. It projects that around 1.6 million New Yorkers have been left food insecure after the COVID-19 pandemic, and it works to fill in the meal gaps faced by those in need.
